"Blind" by Korn, is a heavy metal song that has multiple features to it. Researching this specific song was very confusing but intriguing as well. At first, the song seemed short based off of lyrics alone. Seemed very simple and can be manageable. Then after watching the video, and listening to the audio, it was much longer. The instruments carry out most of the song and it was for reasons that made it more of its genre and fit along very well. It was very confusing to look for the instruments specifically which ones were being used in this song for its specific areas, and whether or not it was a meaning to the song at a certain point.
This song has multiple phrases that are repeated. Trying to find meaning was very difficult since it seemed it was just trying to imply the same thing, and the phrase was just repeated to make it seem better. The band had to have had a meaning to it specifically. The research to find that meaning was tough, but in the end, the meaning did manage to arise and the video was very helpful in understanding this meaning as well cause the band does play more emotionally to certain parts and it can be inferred what is the meaning by the emotions and the lyrics combined.
After the research came to the brainstorming, which was difficult since sometimes our group members were absent, including me so it was hard to stay up to date with one another. We created a chat that helped us communicate better, but also created some documents to help us brainstorm and throw out random ideas. We managed to find some that were very interesting and that could help when it was through the document, but also in person, we tried to come up with ideas together and try and mix/combine the ideas to come up with one ultimate plan. It was time-consuming in person, but online it worked very efficiently and everyone was up to the task to get started on the work. Everyone took different roles and decided to work on things for this, but ultimately we all worked together helping in every aspect because the idea came to life with all our minds working together as one.
